Peptides arrive as a lyophilized powder and must be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water before research use. Accurate calculations are critical: too much water dilutes the solution; too little results in each syringe unit containing more peptide than intended. This calculator automatically converts milligrams to milliliters and insulin units so you can plan your research protocol precisely.
Choose your syringe size (0.3 mL, 0.5 mL, or 1.0 mL), enter the amount of peptide in the vial, the volume of bacteriostatic water used, and the desired dose. The tool instantly displays the concentration, volume per dose, units in the syringe, and approximate doses per vial. All calculations use the standard conversion: 1 mL = 100 units.
- Use sterile bacteriostatic water (not tap or distilled water).
- Slowly add the chosen volume to the vial containing the lyophilized peptide.
